What therapy is like with me

People often come to therapy because they’re exhausted from feeling stuck in the same patterns or unsure how to move forward. My role is to help make sense of what’s happening while also working with you to develop practical ways through it. I aim to create a space where we can have open, honest conversations, balancing curiosity and compassion with gentle accountability when it’s helpful. Together we’ll work towards building skills, confidence and a stronger understanding of yourself, so that therapy doesn’t just feel supportive in the moment, but leaves you feeling better equipped to navigate life beyond the therapy room.

My therapy approaches

Meaningful change is most sustainable when it is connected to what matters most to us. My work is strongly influenced by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), balancing acceptance of where we are now with practical steps towards where we want to be. I enjoy helping people better understand themselves while developing realistic skills to navigate difficult emotions, strengthen resilience, and make changes that reflect the life they genuinely want to build.

Alongside developing insight, I place importance on helping people put that understanding into practice. Lasting change often comes through taking small, intentional steps over time, supported by self-compassion, curiosity and healthy accountability. Rather than relying on a single model, I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches to tailor therapy to each individual, creating a collaborative process that is both supportive and purposeful.

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Schema Therapy
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Values-based
  • Trauma-informed
  • Attachment-informed
  • Mindfulness
  • Neuroaffirming
  • LGBTQIA+ affirming
  • Strengths-based
