What therapy is like with me

I see therapy as a collaborative process built on kindness, curiosity and genuine human connection. I believe that feeling understood and accepted creates the foundation for meaningful change, so I place great importance on developing a strong therapeutic relationship where people feel safe to explore both the challenges they are facing and the patterns that may have shaped them over time. My style is warm, conversational and reflective, balancing compassion with thoughtful exploration and, where helpful, gentle challenge.

A central part of my work involves helping people understand the patterns that exist across their thoughts, emotions, behaviours and relationships, while also exploring how those patterns developed and why they make sense. I believe that insight is an important beginning, but that lasting change also comes through intentionally practising new ways of responding over time. Drawing on ideas from neuroplasticity, values-based living and psychological flexibility, I work with clients to translate understanding into small, achievable steps that gradually build meaningful and sustainable change. Throughout this process, I aim to foster self-compassion, hope and a growing sense of confidence in people’s capacity to shape their own lives.

My therapy approaches

I see therapy as a collaborative process that keeps sight of both what has brought you to therapy and how you would like things to be different for you or in your life. I value taking the time to understand the difficulties you're experiencing and the patterns that may sit around them, while keeping our work connected to the changes that matter to you and the kind of life and relationships you want to build. Kindness, curiosity and genuine human connection are central to this process, alongside thoughtful exploration and, where helpful, gentle challenge.
