What therapy is like with me

I understand that beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar, particularly for children, young people and families. I aim to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel comfortable, listened to and supported from the very beginning. Building trust and working collaboratively are values that are important to me, and I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely heard.

I enjoy balancing thoughtful conversation with practical strategies that can support everyday life. Every person is different, so I try to adapt therapy to suit the individual sitting in front of me, while maintaining a strengths-based and neuroaffirming approach. My hope is that people leave sessions feeling understood, encouraged, and more confident in taking the next steps that feel right for them.

My therapy approaches

I believe therapy works best when it is tailored to the individual rather than following a fixed approach. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to understand their unique experiences, strengths and goals, adapting therapy to their age, stage of development and the way they naturally learn and engage. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging space where people feel understood, build confidence in themselves, and develop practical skills that support meaningful and lasting change.
