Work with professionals who don’t just listen but support you through life’s challenges.
Our psychologists can accommodate people of all ages, including children, adolescents and adults starting from 5+ years old. If you’re in need of a child psychologist for ADHD in Melbourne, we can help. Our experienced team was set up by Practice Principals Kylie and Tim, who established the practice in 2009. Laburnum Psychology is now a cohesive and experienced team of 25 psychologists, with strong linkages to local health providers.
Working with an ADHD psychologist that’s Melbourne based, can provide individualised treatment plans and strategies whether it’s for you or your child. They have the experience and expertise to develop interventions and techniques that address the unique needs and challenges associated with ADHD. By tailoring the treatment to you, a specialised psychologist can guide you in managing symptoms, help with improving focus and develop effective coping strategies. These personalised strategies can empower you or your child to navigate daily challenges more successfully, which can in turn lead to improved academic or professional performance, improved time management, and enhanced overall well-being.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly known as ADHD, can pose numerous challenges throughout life and affects both children and adults. A psychologist specialising in ADHD in Melbourne brings expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of this complex condition. This expertise provides a solid foundation for creating an effective treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and symptoms. These may include organisational techniques, time management strategies, and behaviour modification techniques.
Our specialised psychologists not only provide support but also educate individuals and their families about the condition. They offer insights into ADHD, helping you understand how it can affect attention, and hyperactivity. Through education and skill development, a specialised psychologist can assist with the provision of knowledge and tools that will help you optimise your functioning with ADHD, leading to increased self-confidence and greater success in academic, personal, and professional pursuits.
